The Importance Of Keywords In Seo
5:36 PM Posted by Slamy
Because of this, it becomes necessary to take it as the first and most
important step for optimization. Since all search queries are based on
the keywords entered in the search engine, you must carefully select
the most relevant keywords for your website.
If the optimization is to make your site visible in the top search
rankings then the right keywords are what around which the entire
SEO-process revolve. A bad selection of keywords may ruin your entire
optimization work as whatever you will do after it will be based on
those keywords. So you must be careful at this first and far most
important step.
The following points can be useful for finding suitable keywords for any website:
1. Analyze your content: Analyze your whole site and make sure not to
leave even a single corner of the site's content or images. Try to
extract all the important keywords from it. Prepare an excel sheet and
make as many different phrases as possible from the extracted words.
Eliminate all the phrases which do not have the words used on the web
site. Repeat this process to get the most relevant and suitable
keyword-list.
2. Industry knowledge: To be able to choose relevant keywords for a
website belonging to a specific industry you should have knowledge of
that particular industry. If you do not have that knowledge you can get
it by visiting some of the other sites in that industry.
3. Analyzing the competition. Check which keywords your competitors has
used to target their websites. By analyzing your competitors websites
before you finalize your own you can get an idea of which list of
keywords you should use on yours.
4. Keyword generation tools: There are a couple of tools on the web
which can help you get the keywords you require. The Adwords keyword
tool for example, is one place you can get relevant keywords by just
entering one single keyword or your website URL.
5. Keyword popularity: The more popular a keywords is, the more
difficult it will be to get a good ranking for that keyword. This is
especially true for new sites, so in the beginning it can be a good
idea to not target the most competitive keywords. After a couple of
months when the site has gained enough backlinks you can start
optimizing for more popular keywords.
What print advertising could learn from Google
3:30 AM Posted by Slamy
its print advertising service—the fact remains that the Internet
advertising giant has nailed successfully an entirely new source of
advertisers at the same time print is losing theirs. The continued
growth of online advertising, even in the face of the recent slump, has
drawn away traditional, big-media advertisers from newspapers, but
there hasn’t been a concomitant cross-migration of “long-tail”
AdWords-style advertisers to print. That is a problem for print, given
the measurable performance of online advertising and continued,
increasing time spent online; this is looking like a zero-sum game that
the newspapers are losing.
But does it have to be? Jeff Jarvis, in a great article
at Seeking Alpha, argues that newspapers are still well-equipped to
survive the changing times; they simply need to adapt. In addition to
looking at commerce (some have managed to be successful at this) and
leveraging their unique information and readership into building new
services (like real estate agency), there are a couple other intriguing
ideas that print should consider, spearheaded by the Big G and other
online advertising outfits:
- Form an ad network: Instead of relying on their
own ad sales division, newspapers and newspaper networks should
outsource ad sales to ad networks that can fill their inventory across
all available newspaper inventory. (Of course, the ad network
typically shaves off a comfortable margin for itself, something the
newspapers would probably not like to lose. They can form the ad
network themselves, like the airline industry did with Orbitz.) This
will allow them to sell inventory on metrics meaningful to
advertisers—not just geo, but on demographic, vertical/topical bases as
well. And it reduces advertiser friction and builds campaign scale. - Create a new sales force: Maybe Google isn’t the
place a small, local advertiser would think of turning to to start a
campaign. Jarvis suggests a “citizens sales force,” the sales side of
citizen journalism. He might have a point, since a lot of the print
long-tail are not going to understand AdWords any better than those
online long-tail advertisers that need services like ReachLocal, Yodle
and OrangeSoda. He also suggests that local media can probably retool
to sell inventory beyond their reach, if there were such a network in
place that could serve them.
The Los Angeles Times announced recently that revenue from advertising on its online division covered the paychecks
of its entire editorial division—online and offline. This is certainly
heralding the value of online traffic, which newspapers have long
thought cannibalized their print traffic with dubious financial return.
The hidden story is that they’ve made a new advertising model work.
Maybe it’s time they apply what they’ve learned online to revive their flagging print division.

5 Ways To Automate Your Site
3:16 AM Posted by Slamy
Automating your online business is one of the most important steps you can take to insure your success on the internet. If you have been on the internet for any time at all, you know that there are just too many tasks to do each day to be really efficient and productive with them all. Learning to delegate some of those routine, daily activities is one way to insure your site's success and to give you much more time in the day for the most important task which is that of promotion and marketing your site.
HERE ARE 5 SIMPLE WAYS TO AUTOMATE TODAY:
- USE AUTO-RESPONDERS:
Probably one of the best-known and popular ways to handle routine messages to inquirers is the use of auto-responders. It is simple and easy to set up your messages which usually involve several follow-up messages to remind your visitors what you are offering and how to find your site again.
Here are some free ones:

If you are trying to run your own newsletter, handling the process by yourself can eat up a lot of valuable time. In the beginning this may be possible, but as your list grows and the tasks involved keep multiplying, your time demands will increase also.
There are lots of ways to manage a mailing list including installing your own scripts and purchasing your own software. Weigh the pros and cons, but be sure and check out the possibility of *farming out* the responsibility to a mailing list service.
Here are some to consider:

There are many software options available depending upon your work online. Here are some possible software applications available. Just do a search online.
~Creating links to your site and others.
~HTML editors
~Ad swaps
~Promotion
~Joint Ventures
~Subscription management
~Survey forms - PAYMENT SYSTEMS:
Well, this is just a no-brainer. It is just too simple not to do this one. Having an automated payment system that allows you to accept credit card payments for your products or services is something that everyone has to have to be successful online. Here are a couple of third-party ones that I use and recommend:
ClickBank-- http://www.ClickBank.com/
PayPal-- http://www.PayPal.com/ - AD TRACKING SYSTEM:
If you are going to advertise your products and/or services online, then it is critical that you track your results. Knowing how many hits you got to your site is nice, but it won't take care of your questions like, "Where did my traffic and sales come from?"
Here are some ad tracking systems. (Some offer free versions.)

Implementing these five time-saving helpers is a very important benchmark in moving your business into a phase that will free up some time to insure your success online.
Best of luck with your promotional efforts.
Is There A Short Circuit In Your Networking?
3:15 AM Posted by Slamy
Network marketing is all about communication, and building relationships. Is that what you are really doing? How many people do you communicate with personally? I don't mean with autoresponders, or a mailing list. How many people do you chat with, or exchange dialogue with, on a regular basis? How many people are in your buddy list?
Who are the people that you interact with consistently? Are they business people, friends, family, or acquaintences? Are you participating in forums and using interactive technologies to communicate with new people? Or...
Are you exchanging ads and sales letters with everyone?
Network marketing, networking... Is not about blasting your copy at everyone within your keyboard's reach. It's not about joining a group and sending ads to other members in place of a letter of introduction. It is not about filling member inboxes with sales pitches.
If you want to network with me, tell me who you are, not what you're selling. I prefer to work with people, not products. THAT is what networking is about.
Forums are a place to openly discuss topics of interest between like-minded people. Sadly though, too many people misuse them as an ad board. They join just to sell stuff to people. If I wanted to read ads, I'd surf the classifieds. Forums are a place for networking, not advertising; for joint venturing, not selling.
I spend a lot of time in forums. I don't always do much posting, but I read. I learn. And I don't read ads that are posted to them. Recommendations for tools, or information, I always read, but no ads. If it's starts with a headline, it goes in the trash.
Interactive web sites, such as forums and moderated discussion groups are an awesome networking tool. I've met some of my best joint venture partners this way. Participation is the best way to learn what you don't know, and share what you do know. It is WIN-WIN and it's FREE!
Proper use of forums and discussion groups is one of the strongest marketing tools at your disposal. When you network with others, you discover ways inwhich you can partner with people, creating new avenues for earning potential. Selling people stuff is short term. Partnering with them is for the long haul, and when done right, far more profitable. It is easier to achieve what it is you want, when you help someone of complimentary interest get where they'd like to be.
Simple But Powerful Off-Line Advertising Strategies
6:43 AM Posted by Slamy
There are several ways to advertise and get the word out about your business online and the best of them include free search engines, pay per click search engines, writing articles, utilizing press releases, doing joint ventures/ad co-ops, and posting to message boards and forums related to your target market.
But one advertising method that's neglected by most online marketers is off-line advertising.
There are several low/no cost ways to advertise off-line and I want to share 3 of them with you.
1) Business Cards
If you are serious about your business you must have business cards. They are cheap and are a great way to attract potential prospects or customers. Simply hand them out to people who you feel may be interested in your business.
Also, whenever I visit a restaraunt, bar, or club, I'll leave my business cards in all of the bathroom stalls. (Just make sure nobody is in there of course... lol!)
And don't laugh at this! It really works. When I visit the bathroom an hour or two later, I'll find that all of my business cards are gone and I'll have a fresh new set of sales the very next day.
You can get f-ree professional looking business cards at VistaPrint.com, all you have to pay is shipping and handling:
2) Flyers
With today's technology, flyers are very easy to make. You can simply design a flyer online and just print it out and make copies. Then you can post them in area businesses where you feel your potential customers may hang out. (Just make sure you ask permission from the business owner.)
Or simply hand out your flyers to people you meet on the street. Many bars and clubs don't have a problem with posting flyers in their establishments either, especially if you are a patron.
And don't forget about supermarkets! Many have bulletin boards, at least here in New Jersey where I live, and you can post your flyer there. There are hundreds of people walking into supermarkets everyday and they are in a buying mentality. Take advantage of it and post your flyers often.
Here's a site that lets you create and print flyers or brochures online for free:

3) Automobile Advertising
What... ? Yes you read that right! Your car is not only a driving vehicle but a great advertising vehicle as well. You can stick magnetic signs or plates on your car with your company name and/or domain name for all to see.
Your business can be exposed to hundreds, if not thousands of people everyday whether your car is parked, you are driving, or even when you are stuck in traffic. It's fairly inexpensive and a great way to "drive" home your message.
Here are a couple of sites to check out for this very sort of thing:
Those are just a few of the ways to advertise off-line. I'm sure you can come up with other clever ways as well.
Advertising - Does it matter?
3:18 AM Posted by Slamy
When advertising, you need to sell your opportunity, your products, and yourself. What sets you apart from everyone else? Maybe you produce a newsletter with a specific content where there is a demand from a particular group of people,or you promote your own special product that no one have not yet seen. That?s a huge benefit! That?s what you need to sell in your ad campaign, and those are the things you need to do in order to become successful.
You don?t have to be worried that network marketing prosperity is difficult. It isn’t. In fact, it has never been so easy to make a decent second income or even a full time. But it takes time, persistence and uniqueness.
The people looking at your ads and reading your follow up letters are going to judge you and your whole business not only by what the materials have to say, but also by their appearance.
Be sure you send a powerful, positive and convincing message. Invest some time and money on your marketing materials, the payoff will be well worth it. Look at others ads in the Internet, See what?s attracting you, this will most likely attract others too.
Do you see what I mean? Your advertising campaign will be the propel to your business success. By now you think "How do I create one of those successful ads?" After all, it?s the words that sell your opportunity. Write a good ad and it?s taking you to the top. Let your friends take a look at it and say what they think.
Now where to put your ad? If you place your ad in a pets publication and the ad is promoting toys for children you might not get a single response. But placed in the right publication it will be a winner. It?s very important that you from the beginning know exactly where to put your ad. Just think about you having spent hours on that ad and then you put it in the wrong publication and get no response at all, that?s a big waste of time and effort.
My best advise is that you always work on your ads. Write them down, leave them for some time, go back to look at them again, let others look at them and after a while you will see the picture of your ad and you will see if it?s working or not, if not then you have to start from the beginning and write a new one and follow the same procedure again.
The Internet are full of ads, start clicking around and read others ads, this is the best way to learn what is working or not. You probably can tell instantly when an ad is good or not at least after a while.
