The highest converting traffic I've ever seen...

2:47 AM Posted by Slamy

Traffic Buddha is a new site that says it guarantees more web visitors and online advertising with very little effort or cost.  More importantly, it promises higher CONVERSIONS--signups and sales.  So I decided to put it to the test...

My first impression was the site looks professional and clean, with an attractive look and feel.  It is easy to read and understand.  Joining the site was easy and painless--they do offer 2 upgrade options but they are not required to gain the benefits.

The Members Area is very well laid out and intuitive--I could figure out what to do after only a few minutes and was able to get up and running in less than 5 minutes.  Inside the site, you create links and ads--the links you simply enter any URL links you use into the generator and it transforms them into "Traffic Buddha" links.  You create ads for anything you want to promote using the Traffic Buddha Ad Generator, which is very easy to use.  You can create as many links and as many ads as you like.  And they are organized in a logical way--links are displayed in the order you create them but also your 5 most recent links appear on the main page for quick reference.  Also, since the link generator is the tool you'll use most, it is also right at the top of the main page when you login.  Very smart!

After you've created at least 1 link and 1 ad you can start to generate traffic.  Just use and promote the new Traffic Buddha link instead of the original source link you had.  Every time the Traffic Buddha link is clicked, the page loads followed by a small ad window in the lower right corner.  It displays 3 ads PLUS an image with your affiliate link that goes back to Traffic Buddha.  So if anyone clicks the Traffic Buddha image they see the site, and if they signup they become your referral.  It's a great viral feature because you can build referrals without even trying to just by using the site.

Now every time the ad window displays (your Traffic Buddha links get clicked) you earn credits that get YOUR ad displayed in the ad windows when other members' links get clicked.  So the more clicks, the more times your ads get displayed.

And this works virally--meaning as you make referrals into Traffic Buddha (either by promoting it or just using it and visitors click the Traffic Buddha image on the ad window to join) you also earn ad credits on THEIR link clicks.  And this works up to 5 levels deep.  So you can create a massive amount of free ad views and web traffic by referring others to Traffic Buddha also.

I didn't get to test the full effect of a big downline yet (I just got the tool) but I can tell you the rest of the site works exactly as stated--my links got clicked, I earned credits, and my ads got displayed.  Traffic Buddha even tracked my results so I know how many clicks and how many ad displays.  That was an impressive unadvertised extra feature.

There is one more benefit and feature which might be the best of them all--downline emailing.  You can email your downline with offers, promotions, or whatever you like, and here is where Traffic Buddha really shines.  They took time to make the emailing often enough that it's valuable as a user, but no so often that it's a burden to your downline.  But the best part about this feature (and actually the credit earning too) is that it tells you exactly how long until you can mail again.  Now THAT's cool.

Overall I have to say I am impressed with Traffic Buddha.  It is simple yet powerful, and delivers on its promises.  Highly recommended to anyone who wants to increase traffic and advertising.

Improving Site's Google Page Ranking

3:52 AM Posted by Slamy

The content is king. Search engines love quality of content, because what the users want - more new stuff to read every day and every hour. If your site changes often - search engine crawler back more often so. Of course, by adding new content that you raise the possibility that multiple pages will be found

Once you have the content generated, here is what you can do to have your site found more often by new visitors:

   1. Use Google Sitemaps to see how Google sees your site, when it was last updated, whether you have any problems on your site, etc. I've written an article on this topic: How to Improve Site's Ranking with Google Sitemaps. You also want to provide a sitemap for your visitors.

   2. Get involved in communities relevant to the content of your site. Visit their forums and mailing lists, and help other people by answering their questions, posting links to your site if they contain information relevant to your replies. Usually you are allowed to have a signature, where you can link to your site. However be aware that more and more sites implement a new link attribute rel="nofollow", which tells Google (MSN, Yahoo and other sites) to not count those links to your site's ranking credit. This is to avoid comment spam. You can find the details here: Official Google Blog: Preventing comment spam.

   3. The head section of the document should include meta entries for keywords and description. Though it's been said that the keywords meta entry has little or no weight with Google, but is still useful with other search engines. Also make sure that the title of the document includes the most important keywords and phrases, as Google gives a heavy weight to those. The keywords need to be included in the H1 and H2 header entries, and also once in bold, once in italic and if possible in the URL.

   4. Spell check your content. Google doesn't like when misspelled words are used, as it tries to auto-correct search words. Some sites use misspelled words to get more traffic to their site. e.g., "hign paying keywords" instead of "high paying keywords"

   5. It's been said that sites containing valid XHTML are favored by the search engines. But it should at least use valid HTML. One other thing to make sure is that your site is readable by non-graphical browsers, such as Links and Lynx. Blind users use those to browse the Internet and search engines favor sites that are useful to more people. In fact search engines see your site as text, so things like javascript, DHTML and Flash may make it hard for the search engine to crawl your site.

   6. Publish articles on other sites relevant to your expertise. Make sure that those articles link back to your site. I'm somewhat weary about submitting my articles to other sites, since then I end up with a duplication problem and a chance that a search engine would penalise duplicated content sites. Hopefully it somehow knows where the content has appeared in first place. But I don't want to take chances. So may be submitting unique articles which don't appear on my site is a much safer strategy.

   7. Sometimes your site competes with many other sites for the same keywords. Rather than optimising all of your site for the same keywords, try to find less competitive keywords and optimise some of your pages for those keywords. There are both commercial and free programs to help you do that.

   8. Learn from your competitors. Go to Google and search for the competing keywords, go to the first few sites with high page rank and analyse those sites, see what they have done differently than your site. Granted the site might be just very popular and linked from many other sites, but more often than not reading through the source code of the site can tip you off how to do better. You can find out which sites link to that site by searching Google for link:yoursite.com and you may want to try to get your site listed on those sites.

   9. Since it's not enough to have a high ranking for your front page (Google gives different page ranks to different pages), once your site is established you should try to get other sites to link to other sections of your site as well. For example if you have a big site and you can identify segments which are different from each, try to raise a page rank for the sub-directories corresponding to those sections.

  10. Have each page linking to several other pages on your site (crosslinking). That should be especially helpful for balancing the page ranking across different pages of your site, and of course it should help your visitors to find related content on your site.

  11. Try to include a few outbound links to high quality sites in every document. That indicates a quality connection between your document and others sites that Google already considers to be quality sites. When linking to those sites, try to include the important keywords in those links.

  12. Analyse your log files and see who refers to you the most. Try to find more similar sites. The referral information also reveals the keywords used to find your site. Often you find new keywords that you haven't thought of when targeting your site. By using those newly discovered keywords you can create more content that targets the unexpected traffic even better.

SEO Terms For Beginners

2:10 AM Posted by Slamy

A newbie is someone who is new to something and SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. So if this is you, here are some terms you will be hearing and need to be familiar with. A couple of years ago, SEO did not even exist, so in some way we are all newbies. It's just that some are more new than others.
This list of terms, is by no means exhaustive but is meant as a basic introduction to the language used in SEO. At the rate new terms area appearing, by the time you have finished reading this list someone will have probably invented a new term, but at least you will have the basics. So lets get started.
This is derived from the reference to the top part of a newspaper. Above the fold is used on the Internet to describe the top part of the page that the visitor can see without scrolling down.

  1. AdSense Google's contextual based ad program. Use AdSense, by placing the ads on your website and earning revenue from when visitors click on the ads.
  2. AdWords Google's pay per click (PPC) advertising program. Use AdWords when you want to buy advertisement to send traffic somewhere.
  3. algorithm Algorithms are complex sets of rules based on mathematical equations. With regard to SEO the algorithm is how the search engines rank web pages in it's search results. Some SEOers feel that is they can figure out the algorithm, they can obtain higher search engine rankings.
  4. anchor text Also called link text. Is the blue underlined text on web pages that you click to go to another page or site. (Note: The link does not necessarily need to be blue or underlined but this is the traditional standard).
  5. backlink / back link A link on another page that links to the page you are viewing. Also known as inbound link.
  6. click through rate (CTR) Often used in Internet marketing to describe the percentage of users who click on a link or advertisement. IF a page has 100 visitors and 12 click on the link then the page has a CTR of 12%.
  7. cloaking The practice used by some web sites to send one page to a search engine for indexing while serving an entirely different page to everyone else. So what the search engine sees and what you see are two different things. It should be noted that the practice of cloaking can get your site banned from the search engines.
  8. conversion rate (CR) The percentage of site visitors that deliver your most wanted response (MWR). The CR is an important measure of the effectiveness of your online sales effort. If your site is selling an e-book and if 3 out of every 100 visitors buys your book then your site has a CR of 3%.
  9. CPC Cost per click. The total cost of an advertising campaign divided by the resulting number of unique visitors.
  10. CPM Cost per thousand impressions (M= Roman numeral for 1000). A pricing system often used in the banner advertising industry.
  11. dead link A link to a page, that no longer exists or has been moved to a different URL. Search engine spiders regularly remove dead links.
  12. deep linking The practice of linking to the inner pages of another web site - as opposed to linking to the homepage.
  13. Google bomb / Google bombing The practice of using anchor text to make a page show up in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) under keywords that are out of context for that page. It should be noted that Google is taking steps to prevent this practice.
  14. hand submission The practice of visiting each search engine and directory and submitting the registration form by hand as opposed to using a software program. Some systems will not accept automated submissions. Same as Manual Submission.
  15. heading tag A HTML tag represented by , etc, to H6. These tags denote a text size with H1 being the largest. The heading tags may have significance in SEO with search engines appearing to assign more weight to keywords within heading tags.
  16. hidden text Text on a web page that is visible to spiders but not to human visitors. The aim is to load the page with keywords without deterring from the visitor's experience. This is mostly done by making the text the some color as the background. Most search engines can now detect hidden text and consider it a form of spaming. Pages that contain hidden text are penalized or even de-listed.
  17. hit One hit is one request for a file on a web server. A visitor opening a page with 3images will in the process generate 4 hits.
  18. hot linking The practice of displaying images files, video files etc. on a web site when those files are on another (usually someone else's) server. Effectively the site displays content that uses up someone else's bandwidth. Hot linking is generally considered unethical unless prior permission is obtained.
  19. HTML Hypertext Markup Language is the primary language used to write web sites. Consists of tags .
  20. HTTP Hypertext Transfer Protocol is the most common transfer protocol used to facilitate communication between servers and browsers.

Google SEO Training - Page Ranking

2:51 AM Posted by Slamy

Webmasters typically want their pages to rank higher in Google’s search results. Pages get listed in the search results based on relevance and importance. A page is considered relevant if it matches both the interest of the user and the query, which is relevant to the phrase that’s typed into Google.

How Google Determines The Importance of Each Page

Because there are so many web pages out there and for many queries there are literally millions of relevant pages, Google has to narrow it all down and prioritize results. And this is done by determining the importance of each page. Google’s original algorithm set that determines page importance was termed page rank. However, it is now only one of over two hundred elements that goes into how pages get ranked by Google. It does however, still have a major role in page rank.

Google Page Rank

The quantity as well as the quality of pages that link to the page (relevant to what the page is about) is what the each individual page’s score will be based on. Attempting to buy and sell page links is a violation of the Google Webmaster Guidelines and will potentially harm your site’s page rank and presence in Google. The best way to increase your site’s page rank is to create quality content, participate in relevant online communities and acquire quality links through natural measures. If you do sell or buy online advertising, you will want to make sure those links don’t pass page rank by using a no follow tag.

Page Rank Fluctuations

As Google periodically updates it’s index, rankings will fluctuate. Sometimes they will fluctuate a little and sometimes quite a lot and it can happen for various reasons. The fact is, the web is constantly changing. The changes in your site in combination with the content and constant link updates around the web can affect your website’s presence in Google. In some cases, a site can fall to a lower ranking because Google determines that it is in violation of the Google Webmaster Guidelines. Many times, violations are caused by someone who previously worked on your website or could even be caused by a hacker who’s added covert links to some of your pages.

Thinking Like Your Users

Think like your users and provide quality content for them rather than focusing your content for the search engines. You want to treat search engine bots just like other users, never sending them different content. You also want to carefully consider how your users are likely to search for this content. If you have a product, for example, that has a nick-name or acronym that is more popularly known for that, then that’s what users are likely to search on. And you will want to make sure that text visibly appears on your relevant pages.

As you interest users with the content and links on your site, make sure that they’re not disappointed in what they actually find. You’ll want to regularly check to make sure that all of the links on the pages are still pointing to relevant resources and that they reflect well on you and your business.

The Importance Of Keywords In Seo

5:36 PM Posted by Slamy

The root element of any search engine optimization process is keywords.
Because of this, it becomes necessary to take it as the first and most
important step for optimization. Since all search queries are based on
the keywords entered in the search engine, you must carefully select
the most relevant keywords for your website.

If the optimization is to make your site visible in the top search
rankings then the right keywords are what around which the entire
SEO-process revolve. A bad selection of keywords may ruin your entire
optimization work as whatever you will do after it will be based on
those keywords. So you must be careful at this first and far most
important step.

The following points can be useful for finding suitable keywords for any website:

1. Analyze your content: Analyze your whole site and make sure not to
leave even a single corner of the site's content or images. Try to
extract all the important keywords from it. Prepare an excel sheet and
make as many different phrases as possible from the extracted words.
Eliminate all the phrases which do not have the words used on the web
site. Repeat this process to get the most relevant and suitable
keyword-list.

2. Industry knowledge: To be able to choose relevant keywords for a
website belonging to a specific industry you should have knowledge of
that particular industry. If you do not have that knowledge you can get
it by visiting some of the other sites in that industry.

3. Analyzing the competition. Check which keywords your competitors has
used to target their websites. By analyzing your competitors websites
before you finalize your own you can get an idea of which list of
keywords you should use on yours.

4. Keyword generation tools: There are a couple of tools on the web
which can help you get the keywords you require. The Adwords keyword
tool for example, is one place you can get relevant keywords by just
entering one single keyword or your website URL.

5. Keyword popularity: The more popular a keywords is, the more
difficult it will be to get a good ranking for that keyword. This is
especially true for new sites, so in the beginning it can be a good
idea to not target the most competitive keywords. After a couple of
months when the site has gained enough backlinks you can start
optimizing for more popular keywords.

Wordpress.com vs. Wordpress.org - What's the Difference?

5:41 PM Posted by Slamy

What is Wordpress?:

Wordpress is a free software product that is quickly becoming the most popular blogging software on the Internet.
Wordpress.org vs. Wordpress.com:

Wordpress is available in two forms. Wordpress.com is an Open Source software meaning it's free for anyone to use and modify to meet their personal needs (in this case, to create blogs). Since it's free, it does have limitations. Alternatively, Wordpress.org provides the software to create your blog, but Wordpress.org does not host your blog on the Internet for you. You will have to pay a separate hosting provider to obtain a domain name and host your blog online. Using Wordpress.org with a paid hosting service provides maximum flexibility and customization.
Factors to Consider When Choosing Between Wordpress.org and Wordpress.com:

Following are some factors you may want to consider before you decide to start your blog on a paid host with Wordpress.org or Wordpress.com (free):

    * Monetization and Advertisements: Wordpress.com does not allow you to include advertisements of any kind.
    * Customization: Wordpress.com provides a limited amount of space and customization options (although enough for most beginner bloggers).
    * Knowledge: Wordpress.org requires more technical knowledge than Wordpress.com.
    * Future Requirements: If your blog becomes popular, switching to Wordpress.org requires moving your blog and obtaining a new domain name and URL address.

What Features Does Wordpress Offer Bloggers?:

Wordpress provides a simple interface to allow even the most technically-challenged people to start blogs. The software includes a variety of features including:

    * Custom themes
    * Integrated stats tracker
    * Spam protection
    * Auto-save
    * Spell check
    * Tagging
    * Automatic ping
    * Various sidebar widgets
    * Multiple authors
    * Plug-ins
    * Support
    * Wordpress.org also allows for advertising, a custom domain, custom email addresses and more

Wordpress Tip from Your About.com Web Logs Guide:

If you have trouble deciding between starting your blog on Wordpress.com or Wordpress.org, you may want to consider starting a practice blog on Wordpress.com first. If you've never started your own blog before, playing with features and testing effects on a practice blog is a great idea. Your practice blog could be on any topic you love simply to learn how to blog and learn the Wordpress software. After a few months, when you feel comfortable with the software, it should be easier to decide if you want to stick with Wordpress.com or switch to Wordpress.org for your 'real' blog.
Wordpress.com vs. Wordpress.org: Consider Your Blogging Goals:

Choosing between starting a free blog at Wordpress.com or paying for hosting so you can start a blog at Wordpress.org is a decision that should be based on your long term goals for your blog.

Disadvantage of Free Domain Name

3:47 AM Posted by Slamy

Everyone likes a bargain. It's even wise to keep one's costs down. On the other hand, you can be so cheap that you cut your own throat.
Here are two ways to register a domain name for free and some reasons why you might not want to.

  • You Must Have Your Own Top Level Domain (TLD) Name
    Your business website should definitely have its own top level domain (TLD) name. This means a name like yourcompany.com. It doesn't mean a subdomain of someone else's domain name, such as yourcompany.someisp.net. Sometimes persons hesitate to register a proper domain name because of cost, lack of knowledge, or indecision. However, paying the nominal fee charged by the domain registrar for your own domain name can reap rich dividends. A Uniform Resource Locator (URL) or Internet address like (ignoring the http part) someisp.net/hosting-accounts/yourco/, or yourcompany.someisp.net, just doesn't look as professional as yourcompany.com. It might be free (as in included with your web space) but it just doesn't cut it. Consider: If you put your URL on your letterheads, business cards, signs, et cetera, which Internet address looks more professional?
    If you mention your URL on your radio advertising or to a customer over the phone, which one will be easier to remember? As well, what if your web host goes out of business or you decide that you want to change to another provider. Now, you need to notify everyone that you have now changed to yourcompany.someotherisp.net. You will also need to change all your stationery, signs, and advertising to reflect the change. On the other hand, the domain name yourcompany.com, could be transferred from one web host to another simply by informing your domain name registrar of the change. So, to avoid losing business and incurring unnecessary additional costs, be sure you have your own top level domain name.
  • Should You Get a Free Top Level Domain?
    It is possible to get a free top level domain from Dot TK (@www.dot.tk). (You may also get paid dot tk (.tk) domains from them.) However, there can be disadvantages to using a free top level domain name. Here are some of the restrictions noted on the Dot TK website. You may register no more than three free domain names. The ownership of the free domain remains with Dot TK. This means that you can't sell it. (Of course, if you pay for the domain you do own it and can transfer it to a new owner.)  Also, if you don't have 25 visitors come to your home page within a ninety day period, your free domain name registration is cancelled. You need to have existing web content somewhere so that your dot tk name can be forwarded to it.

There may well be other disadvantages.

Apparently, Dot TK uses frames to show your website. This being the case, you may have issues with navigation (bookmarking or finding specific pages) and search engine friendliness.
Therefore, for serious business use, consider carefully the true cost of free domain names

Six Guidance for choosing Domain Name

3:46 AM Posted by Slamy

A professional or business site is one where the primary purpose of the site is to facilitate business transactions. You can sell items directly online or exclusively offline, but the result is the same. You want customers to buy products and/or service directly from you.
To create a domain name for this type of website here are a few guidelines:

1. Shorter is better
2. Make the name easy to pronounce
3. Think long term
4. Stick to Categories and Topics
5. Do a trademark search
6. Always have a tag line

Shorter is better
If you want to make real money online, try to keep your domain name as short as possible. In the online world, the choices of where to shop and get information is overwhelming. A shorter name will instantly be memorable. It is always easier to remember short words and phrases.
A shorter name is good for word of mouth advertising online and offline. Customers can easily remember the the URL and therefore they’re more likely to pass it on and return to the website. The name will also stand out when it is printed on brochures, business cards and other business collateral. Liz, Dick, Kate, Feds are all examples of our incessant need to reduce every term in the English language to three syllables or less.

Easy to Pronounce
If you want a short name, you must be very creative. To be creative and strategic make sure that your domain name is easy to pronounce. It is perfectly acceptable to create a name from scratch, but it must sound like a real word when you try to say out loud. Any three or four syllable term will do a long as it easily rolls off the tongue. If you are at a loss for words, try writing a description of your product or service on paper.
This is a very easy way to come up with those little words that you can use without losing the meaning of what you’re trying to say. You can also use a dictionary and a thesaurus to come up with additional words. You can also choose a longer word but shorten it or use acronyms only. When you decide on a domain name, say it out loud a few times. If it doesn’t sound right, go back to the dictionary and try again.

Think long term
You want a domain name that will last a very long time. If you pick a name that is a slang term or too cutesy, you could find yourself looking for a new name in a year or two. This is not the best way to proceed. Once you build a certain level of online success, the traffic will follow the domain name. You don’t want to mess with your brand and your online reputation with redirects and ‘we have moved’ notices. Online customer will buy, but only if your site makes it convenient for them to do so. If you don’t see yourself using the same domain name three to four years from now, get a new name before you set up your website.

Trademark Searches
Do a trademark search. If you build up your online business and domain name, you don’t want to find a court order ordering you to give it up because it belongs to another company. Remember, the traffic and therefore your sales will follow the domain name to the new company.
To do a quick trademark search go to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (http://www.uspto.gov) for domestic searches and the International Trademark Association (http://www.inta.org) for international searches. If your name is cleared, then consider getting a trademark to protect your business.

Tag line
Tag lines are the work horses of the marketing industry. An interesting, professional tag line can bring you more word of mouth advertising than you can ever buy from a search engine company. It will bring your name into random conversations in newsgroups, newsletters and casual conversations. This can help you save money on paid advertising and create the ultimate viral marketing campaign without very little effort.
Keep these six tips handy to brand your domain name and bring in more site traffic.

Internet Domain Registration - Establishing and Transferring Your Domain Name

3:46 AM Posted by Slamy

f you're in business, one of the most important things to you may be your ability to establish an internet presence. Operating some type of functional web site for your business helps your customers find you, can present additional marketing opportunities through e-commerce, and offers advertising opportunities that you can not get elsewhere. Companies that do not have a web site lose business to companies that do all the time.

Of course the real key to your web site is the internet domain registration. Everybody wants mybusiness.com - the problem is that domain names are unique and can be taken by anyone. If you don't register your desired domain name right away, someone else could take it. The fact is that internet domain registration can turn into a sneaky competitive game. In many cases business owners have gone to register a domain name and found that it had been registered years before they every started the company by some group that is in the business of registering domains and then turning around and selling them for exorbitant rates.
A humorous story came from the 2005 municipal election in North Las Vegas, Nevada when one candidate realized that the incumbent mayor had not registered an internet domain name. The incumbent registered the mayor's name dot com and as many variants of it that he could come up with, literally stealing the Mayor's plans for a web site out from under him. The tactic didn't win him the election, but the candidate managed to annoy the mayor quite a bit and still owns the internet domain registration names to this day.
The key to avoiding these sorts of problems lies in early registration of your desired domain name. If you find the one that you want (or a close variant of it), register it immediately. Even if you're not prepared to set up a web site yet or won't be for several years, register the domain right away anyway.

Registering a domain name before being ready to set up its web site will require the domain name being transferred to the servers of your desired host when you are ready to establish the site. Transferring the domain name once you have selected a web host is a very simple process, but does require you to establish the change with both the registration company and the new host. The new host will provide you with the server information that you, in turn, will need to provide to the company with whom you originally registered the domain. There may be a short waiting period (typically 24 to 72 hours) while both servers get the information updated. Once that process is complete, you'll have your domain safely residing on your host's servers and your site (as long as it's been built) will be ready to go.

The internet domain registration and transfer for your business web site is a simple process and can be completed through automated online systems in most cases. Clearly the most important part of this process is the registration of the domain name and this should always be done as soon as possible, even if it is going to be years before you're ready to get the actual web site up and running.

Blogg can be use as CMS for almost any web site

4:41 AM Posted by Slamy

Deferent people has deferent usage of his blog. Some use as journal and other as
about creating a community of people who can contribute to a growing discussion on a specific topic. Also Blogging can be  used as a complete content management system for almost any web site.
There are several reasons why you should consider using blog pages to run your entire web site. These include:

  • You can make changes to your web site content without the need for specialist software
  • You can make changes to your content from anywhere you can access the web; you don't need to be at your PC.
  • You can make changes to content quickly - more quickly than with software.
  • You can make changes to content without incurring cost - unlike using a web design agency.
  • You can use blogs to create content with colleagues, working as a team - something that's more difficult and more costly with software.

All of these benefits can be obtained free of charge using Blogger.com to run your pages. To use Blogger.com as a content management system, take the following steps:

  • Create a web page template for your entire site.
  • Include Blogger.com 'tags' for each blog entry within your template. The key tags you will need are: <$BlogItemTitle$> and <$BlogItemBody$>. These tags will insert the title and the text for each item you enter into your blog.
  • Set up each page of your web site as a separate blog using the 'advanced' settings.
  • For each blog, use your template code as the template within Blogger.com
  • Post a single entry into each blog, which is the main content for your page.
  • Publish your blog! That's it!

In the future, you will be able to change the content or add to it, simply by logging onto Blogger.com, choosing the appropriate blog (or page of your web site) and then editing the post item.
People are beginning to realize the potential for content management using blogs. You no longer have to see blogs in terms of a single page that is added to your web site. Instead, you can view blogging as the way you run your web site.

Maybe you are tired of to many suggestion of getting good pagerange of your blog. I hope 10 items below won’t make you mad. It can be tried.

There are many advantages of running a blog, on top of your business website. A blog is an online diary, whereby you can easily posts clips about yourself, your thoughts and your personal life. If you publish a business blog, you posts good content, articles, breaking news or just about anything to build awareness of what you are selling.
Publishing a business blog gives your subscriber or prospect a chance to get to know you better. Through your blog, you can explain how your life has changed due to the product or service that you are selling. A blog can also be highly interactive if you also allow comments and for all to see. For sure, blogging provides a good avenue to establish some level of trust and security for an online prospect who has never met you.
Here are top 10 ways to get people to read your business blog:

  1. Have a general theme and state this theme at the top or in a prominent location in your blog. Creating a general theme helps attract a group of targeted readers. However, do strike a balance. You don't also want too narrow a theme. Otherwise, you may find yourself having difficulty finding new things to talk about in your blog every few days.
  2. Be current in what you post. Don't report about events that happen one year ago. You can refer to the particular event if relevant and/or via a link. For these past events, assume that people already know about them.
  3. Keep a regular schedule. When readers return to your blog, they want to read about something new. Be sure to manage your readers' expectations.
  4. Post frequently. Search engine spiders love sites that are constantly updated with fresh content. At the very least, posting once every few days is a good idea.
  5. Keep your posts short and clear. Don't post long essays. Blog readers are known to like to zip in and out of online diaries. Keep your long essays to articles that you can publish on a separate webpage or in your newsletter.
  6. Make your tittle keyword-rich. This helps in getting your posts better ranked by search engine spiders via the keywords that you use.
  7. Post interesting content. No one is going to be interested in what you ate for breakfast. Not unless you are maintaining a food blog and you want to post your breakfast recipe!
    Making your content interesting will ensure that your readers continue to read your blog loyally.
  8. Have a unique perspective. Readers are interested to know what you think. If you are offering your opinion, be sure that you are able to qualify them.
  9. Take note of your language and grammer. Even if you are posting an opinion. It is always safer to write in proper English if you are hoping to monetize from your blog.
  10. Don't forget to have a RSS feed. RSS means "Rich Site Syndication". To increase readership and distribution, this is one thing that you must not omit in doing.

Understanding Web Traffic Analysis

8:11 PM Posted by Slamy

When you create a Web site, your hosting service should provide you with a way to track the number of visits each page receives as well as some indication of where they are coming from. This isn’t information for its own sake: you want to be able to analyze and act on the data. By learning about who visits your Web site, how your visitors find you, and what they do while they are browsing through your online presentation, you can tailor your product selection and presentation to better meet their needs.
Traditionally, the practice of Web site traffic analysis is referred to as reviewing the ‘‘log files,’’ the information-packed and techie-looking files that contain computer addresses and Web page URLs. Such information needs to be displayed in the form of a graph or chart to understand it better, and that’s exactly what Analytics does. Typically, you want to look at information over a particular period of time, whether
it is a month, day, or week. You need to pay attention to facts such as:
• Domain Reports—This kind of report tells you which domains your visitors come from.
• Referrer Reports—A ‘‘referrer’’ is the site that referred someone to you—in other words, it’s the site a visitor was visiting just before it came to your site. By tracking referrals you can see which links steer you the most visitors.
• File Type Reports—These sorts of reports tell you what type of files are being accessed by your visitors—they might be images, presentations, PDFs, and so on.
• Browser Reports—These tell you what kinds of browsers your viewers are using so you can tailor your content to particular versions or types if needed.

Often, log file reports present you with a ‘‘Top Ten’’ list of pages visited, files accessed, domains that visit you, countries of origin, and so on. When you’re trying to choose from Analytics’ rich set of reports, you might keep such options in mind so you can present your coworkers and managers with the information they need to make informed decisions about your Web site and what sort of content is contained on it.

Avoid "Bad" Manners While Blogging

5:56 PM Posted by Slamy

Blogging, the hottest trend in online publishing right now, is currently spreading like wildfire across the Internet. A cross between an online journal and a bulletin board,everyone from rock starts, politicians, business leaders  and your average "Joe" or "Jane" can instantly become a center of influence online using blogs.
But, as with any social interaction, certain rules apply (my grandma calls them manners) in order to be viewed as behaving "properly." One of the things that gives blogging such strong appeal as  an online publishing method revolves around "comments." Blogs that allow "comments" enable readers to respond and  elaborate on the information posted by the blog owner. These comments and the free exchange of information, opinions, links, and new ideas creates the dynamic and growing content that makes blogging such a popular online activity for both publishers and readers. However, rules and unwritten customs about the proper use  of "comments" on a specific blog are also where most of the problems and controversy will arise. Since a successful blog eventually becomes a community of people (albeit in cyberspace), proper social behavior is critical to be an effective and accepted member of the community. Keep these basic rules in mind when approaching a new blog that allows commenting by readers so you won't find yourself on the wrong end of a scolding by people who operate with a different set of rules than you. As with any social circle, violating the group's rules and customs will instantly cause a negative backlash.

Keep It Relevant

Stay on topic with the post you're commenting about in a blog. Nothing will earn you the wrath and disdain of your  fellow posters and the blog owner faster than posting an off-topic comment.

Watch What Others Do
Different blogs operate under different rules. What rates  acceptable in one blog would earn you a verbal thrashing in another. Before posting (especially if you have not posted to a specific blog before), look to see the types and quality of posts others make regularly. Are they long or short? Do they contain a link to the person's website? Is there a "signature" under their name?

Be Polite

It's fine to disagree with people when making a comment, whether it's the blog's author or a comment made by another reader. It is not, however, acceptable to launch a personal attack on anyone or make nasty comments in someone else's blog. If you feel the need to do so, do it in your own blog. It's the same principle of you can say whatever you want in your own house, but when you're in someone else's house, you act right (and better than you do at home).

You Can't Respond To Everyone

If you operate a blog and someone asks a question, try to respond, but both sides should understand that you can't respond 100% of the time. We all get busy and a blog, unless it maintains a paid membership, is often supported as a labor of love.

If you're a webmaster then you know how frustrating it can be to be able to get your site listed and indexed in the major search engines in a reasonable amount of time. You spend countless hours creating your site, adding content, checking keyword density, etc... You then take the time to hand submit your site to all the major search engines like Yahoo, Google, AOL, MSN and then wait... and wait for the spiders to come index your web pages.
If you're lucky they may come by this week, this month, or even this year. After spending all your time and money in the development of your site the last thing you want to do is wait forever for it to show you the fruits of your labor. You want to get it listed as fast as possible. Now there are some ways you can get the spiders to visit your site sooner. Like posting to similar high ranking forums, buying high PR rated links, or submitting articles on your subject and linking back to your site.
All of these techniques work and work well, along with some other methods not mentioned here. But they all still take time. Some may work faster then others, but how would you like it if you could learn how get your site spidered and indexed by all of the major search engines in only 48 hours without spending a dime?
By blogging and pinging you can do just that. You need to follow some simple steps in setting up this strategy. But once set up it can become a major tool to getting any of your sites listed quickly.
Setting these steps up isn't hard you just need to do them in a proper sequence or all your work will be in vain. But with the proper research you could very well be on your way to getting your site indexed and listed in as little as a few days.

Mistake Most Blogs Do

6:33 AM Posted by Slamy

labels RSS,BLOGGING
As much as this might surprise most bloggers, the #1 mistake most blogs are doing is not publishing their content via e-mail, as a supplement to their RSS feeds.
Just think about it: while RSS is growing strong, it still only penetrates about 5-6% of the American online population. Furthermore, according to a recent BlogAds survey, "only 12 percent of the blog reading audience said it used RSS always or often".
If you're delivering your blog content only via RSS, you're missing out on about 80% or more of potential regular readership/followship.

THE KEY BLOG PROBLEM
There are millions of blogs already, but really few people have the time to watch more than a few daily. But if they come back just once a week, they can be quickly overwhelmed with the amount of new content.
That's why it's crucial to provide a "best of", a helping hand to guide your readers to the "must-read" content you publish … and delivering this content either as a standalone “blog-zine” or as part of your regular e-mail newsletter.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
Deliver your blog posts as they are written via RSS, but then also publish a regular (weekly or monthly) e-mail e-zine with your "top blog posts" for those that are still not in to RSS.
Don't do just one channel, do both.
E-mail is still the #1 end-user content delivery channel ... whether we like it or not. Using e-mail (as a supplement to RSS) to deliver our content is just good business practice, at least for now.

THE CHRIS PIRILLO EXAMPLE
Chris Pirillo is the publisher of one of the most popular sites on the net, Lockergnome.com. He was actually the first to proclaim e-mail as being dead.
But still, while he preferrs for his subscribers to use RSS instead of e-mail, that isn’t stopping him from using or promoting either RSS or e-mail.

COMPARING BLOGS, E-ZINES, E-MAIL AND RSS
If you’re reading this article and thinking that blogs are actually “beyond e-mail”, just consider the following reality.
RSS and e-mail are content delivery channels; the tools that enable us to deliver our content to end-users. Blogs and e-zines on the other hand are two different internet media content formats, differing in how/what content is provided and presented through them.
RSS/e-mail and blogs/e-zines cannot be directly compared. Blog content and e-zine content can both be delivered via RSS and e-mail, and there is no direct business/logical relation between, for example, blogs and RSS.
Blogs are "personal" conversations, opinions and news, delivered in a linear structure, usually written in a more personal style, and confined to a limited number of content types.
E-zines on the other hand are more similar to magazines or newspapers, carrying content presented in a complex non-linear content structure, and having the ability to carry many different content types that do not mix well together if provided through a linear content structure.
A typical e-zine might include:
- an editorial;
- a leading article, representing the prevailing topic of a specific e-zine issue;
- supporting articles, clearly structured to show they are secondary to the leading article;
- links to "best of" blog posts in the given timeframe;
- links to the most relevant forum topics and posts;
- a news section;
- a featured client case study;
- different advertisements (banner ads, textual ads, advertorials etc.);
- a featured consultant;
- a Q&A section;
- a featured whitepaper;
- etc.
Providing all of this content demands a complex content structure and a strong and experienced editor. The blog format simply does not provide the level of structure needed to effectively present such a complex content mix.
But that's not to say that blogs are in any way inferior to e-zines, they're just different. And businesses need both, and they need to deliver both via RSS and e-mail.
Personal preferences towards content delivery channels and internet content media formats have no place in business. What matters is what our audiences want and how they want it.
